Cambodia promulgated the new Law on Investment (LoI) on 15 October 2021. The Law on Investment aims to establish a favourable legal framework to attract and promote quality, effective and efficient investments in the country. To better understand this new law, EuroCham, in partnership with the Council for the Development of Cambodia, is pleased to invite you to join our special hybrid Insiders Breakfast with H.E. Mr. Sok Chenda Sophea on the New Law on Investment which will be held on 11 January 2022 from 9:00AM – 11:30AM at Topaz Restaurant and online via Zoom. The purpose of this event is to discuss the key features of the law, including the investment incentive scheme for various sectors such as sustainable development, and digital and technology. There will be a Keynote Speech by H.E. Mr. Sok Chenda Sophea, Minister attached to the Prime Minister and Secretary-General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia. Followed by an extensive presentation on the new Law on Investment by Dr. Sar Senera, Director of Department of Legal Affairs, and Investment Law of the Council for the Development of Cambodia. After the presentation, there will be a panel discussion joint by H.E. Mr. Sok Chenda Sophea with representatives from the public and private sectors to further discuss the Law on Investment in practice, with emphasis on sustainable growth and digital development with an upskilled workforce. Participants will have a chance to ask questions or raise any points of concern with our panelists.
