"Zhou Daguan visited the Khmer Empire in 1296 and stayed quite long enough, for when he returned to China in the year 1297, he could write and testify the habits and customs of the Khmers of this ancient time. Through his writings, we can know exactly how our ancestors lived and how their amazing civilization was organized and developed. The show will retrace this glorious period for our two countries. It will focus on the historical figure of Zhou, but will freely adapt and interpret his adventures in Khmer country. This total spectacle will blend music, acting and dancing. We hope that it will highlight the warm relations that our countries have maintained for centuries, which are nowadays becoming even stronger."
